Career Panel with Brandeis Aviation Club
We’re excited to be partnering with the Brandeis University Aviation Club for a Career Panel this spring — and we’re looking for chapter members to participate!
The club is hoping to hear from aviation professionals in areas such as airline piloting, aviation maintenance, business aviation, and other industry pathways. Students are especially interested in learning about the different routes into aviation and the options available to them after graduation. They will prepare questions in advance, and the format may be a single speaker or a small panel depending on volunteer availability.
If you’re willing to share your experience and insights with the Brandeis Aviation club, we would love to have you join us. Please fill out the Google Form below to indicate your interest in volunteering!
East Boston High School Career Fair
We’re excited to be attending the East Boston High School Career Fair and are looking for volunteers to help host our table! This career fair will be open to junior and senior students, giving us the opportunity to connect with them and share the many career pathways within the aviation and aerospace industries. From piloting and engineering to operations and beyond, we’re looking forward to showcasing the wide range of opportunities aviation has to offer.
Level 99: Interactive Team Challenge
Put your brain and body to the test with WAI Boston at Level 99, a one-of-a-kind interactive social gaming experience at the Natick Mall. Participants will work together in teams to tackle fast-paced physical and mental challenges, racing against the clock in each room. It’s a fun, high-energy way to connect, collaborate, and challenge yourself.

End Of Year Party
Join the chapter for an end of year party at the Rooftop at the Envoy in Boston December 14, 2025 @ 5pm! Please plan to gather by 4:50pm to ensure we are all ready for the reservation. Be prepared for beautiful views of Boston and bring a warm jacket. We have reservations in the IceBox area for dinner and drinks! No tickets are needed ahead of time for this venue, the chapter has reserved seating. Members are responsible for their own food and drink purchases.
SnowPort in Boston's Seaport district will be open during the day if you want to make a day out of coming into the city and it is within walking distance!

Join the chapter for fall day of fun at the Davis MegaMaze!
We’ll spend the afternoon conquering the corn maze, enjoying live music, and sampling tasty BBQ and seasonal beverages. All are welcome — bring your spouse, a friend, or both, and come enjoy the season together.

June 10th at 6pm at Minute Man Airfield
Come tap into your creativity at our aviation themed paint night! Hosted by National Aviation Academy, the evening will begin with a behind-the-scenes facility tour, followed by a paint night with light refreshments. All materials are provided, and our host will walk us through the process step by step- no painting experience necessary! This event was a huge hit last year, and we’re thrilled to bring it back.
Honor the WASP
Honor the WASP with WAI! Each year, WAI members across the country honor the WASP by visiting their graves and leaving flowers. Each year the Boston chapter selects a WASP to honor by learning about their story and honoring their memory. Save the date for this meaningful experience.
This year our chapter will be honoring WASP Mary Margaret Dourdeville at the Highland Cemetery of Dover, MA.
The Boston Chapter will meet at the Dover Town Library at 56 Dedham Street in Dover, MA at 11:00 AM. Afterwards we will head to the Yard House in Dedham, MA for refreshments.

The Boston Chapter of Women in Aviation will be hosting "Weather for Wings" featuring Boston Center Meteorologist Andrea LaRocca. Andrea will be covering aviation weather hazards leading into summer thunderstorm season as well as weather products available for preflight planning. This event is eligible for wings credit through the FAA Safety Team and refreshments will be provided. It is free to attend, but space is limited. Here are a few more important details:

Geek is Glam! Girl Scout STEM Expo
Join WAI Boston Chapter as we team up with the New England 99's for Geek is Glam! This is a Girl Scout STEM event taking place on Sunday, October 13th at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI). We will be hosting a workshop titled "Let your Dreams Take Flight: An Introduction to Aviation" for girls in 4th and 5th grade.
The girls will rotate through different workshops throughout the day. WAI/99's will be hosting four workshops between 9:30 and 3:30. We will have an hour break in between to grab a bite to eat. There is also an opportunity to host a booth in the exhibition hall if you'd like to stay until 4:45. Join us for a half or full day of fun!
Coffee with Controllers
We are joining up with air traffic controllers from Portland, ME for this event! Join us for a good old fashioned meet and greet. Ever wonder why controllers do the things they do? This is your chance to ask! Q&A session beginning at 10 am.

Honor the WASP
WAI members honor the Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASP) every Memorial Day weekend by visiting their graves and leaving an appropriate decoration in the form of flowers or other remembrances.
This year we will be honoring 4 WASPs here in Massachusetts and learning about each of their stories!
General Membership Meeting
Our next chapter meeting is on May 13th at 6:30 pm at the American Heritage Museum. Join us for a little business and a lot of fun! We will be voting on an update to the bylaws followed by a private tour of the museum and their military vehicle collection including some historically significant, “one of a kind” airplanes! This is one event you don’t want to miss!

Women in the Night Sky
Jenny Powers, an expert in the field of astronomy, will relate the many important contributions made by women in histroy to a better and more complete understanding of the skies above us.
Tickets are $10 and may be purchased at the museum the night of the event. We will be meeting beforehand at Backyard Brewery and Pub in Manchester NH (just 5 minutes away!) at 5:00 pm.
